Prof. Dr. Haldun Oğuz’un başkanlığını yürüttüğü Avrupa Foniatristler Birliği (UEP), bu hafta sonu Viyana’da tarihi bir ilke imza attı.
UEP bünyesinde kurulan Avrupa Foniatri Akademisi (EAP), foniatri alanında Avrupa kalite standartlarını oluşturmayı ve çok uluslu ağlar kurmayı hedefliyor. Akademinin en önemli amacı olan Avrupa Foniatri Board Sınavı (European Board Examination of Phoniatrics – EBE-ORL&HNS), 29–30 Ağustos tarihlerinde Viyana Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi ev sahipliğinde ilk kez düzenlendi.
Sınav, Avrupa Tıp Uzmanları Birliği (UEMS) KBB bölümü ve EACCME komitesinin iş birliğiyle, yazılı ve sözlü olmak üzere iki aşamada gerçekleştirildi. Başarılı adaylar, UEMS tarafından akredite yeterlilik belgelerini almaya hak kazandı.
Türkiye’den de önemli bir katılım gerçekleşti. UEP Başkanı Prof. Dr. Haldun Oğuz’un yanı sıra, Doç. Dr. İlter Denizoğlu ve Doç. Dr. Bengü Çobanoğlu sınav jürisinde görev aldı.
Bu sınav, foniatri alanında Avrupa çapında standartların geliştirilmesi ve uluslararası iş birliğinin güçlendirilmesi adına önemli bir dönüm noktası olarak değerlendiriliyor.

On August 29–30, 2025, we made history for the field of Phoniatrics in Vienna, Austria.

The Board of the European Academy of Phoniatrics (EAP) and the Union of European Phoniatricians (UEP) proudly announce their first fellows: Dr. Martin Kampmann (Germany) and Dr. Silvia Capobianco (Italy). Congratulations to both!

Looking ahead, the next preparation course for the EBE–Phoniatrics will take place in Vienna, Austria, on February 12–14, 2026.
The second EBE–Phoniatrics examination will be held on March 25, 2026, in Istanbul, Türkiye, just prior to the Pan European Voice Conference (PEVOC).
