35º CONGRESO PANAMERICANO DE OTORRINOLARINGOLOGIA Y C.C.C. – LA HABANA 2016 - CUBA
Estimados amigos y colegas:
La Habana, capital de la solidaridad y la hermandad, sede del XXXV Congreso Panamericano de Otorrinolaringología y Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello, a celebrarse del 13 al 16 de junio de 2016, tiene el honor de invitarlos a este evento que periódicamente acerca a sus profesionales al análisis de los principales problemas de la otorrinolaringología en el mundo.
Para quienes buscan ampliar sus conocimientos y aprender sobre los más recientes avances y desarrollo de la especialidad, el Congreso es la mejor opción, donde además podrán disfrutar de un programa social con tours especiales durante el mismo, que brindará a los delegados y sus familiares las maravillas de la naturaleza y arquitectura de Cuba, “Llave de las Américas” y sobre todo de La Habana, patrimonio histórico de la humanidad otorgado por la UNESCO en 1982, además de haber sido elegida el 7 de Diciembre de 2014, dentro de la iniciativa New7WondersCities, como una de las siete ciudades maravilla del mundo por representar la diversidad global de la sociedad urbana.
La profesionalidad, el alto desempeño de los servicios de salud, más las bondades de la mayor de Las Antillas, han propiciado que La Habana sea visitada anualmente por miles de especialistas de la salud de otras latitudes, para intercambiar experiencias con los colegas cubanos.
Es un inmenso honor y una gran responsabilidad presidir este importante y magno evento, designado en la Asamblea General de la Asociación Panamericana de nuestra especialidad en Mar del Plata, Argentina en el 2012.

10 becas de US$1,000 cada una que son para participar en el Congreso Panamericano de Cuba.
Estas becas tienen los siguientes requisitos
Especialistas jóvenes de otorrinolaringología con cargos o responsabilidades docentes o académicas.
Especialistas de otorrinolaringología con menos de 5 años de graduado y con una edad menor a los 40 años. Médicos residentes de otorrinolaringología.
Médicos especialistas o residentes de países en vías de desarrollo, según criterio y jerarquía establecidos por la Organización Mundial de la Salud
Los candidatos pueden aplicar por su cuenta o pueden ser nominados por la asociación nacional de su país.
El becario deberá presentar un trabajo libre y /o de investigación en el Congreso donde se le entregare la beca.
La inscripción al Congreso será gratuita para las actividades académicas. No incluye ningún tipo actividad social.

Solicitud de Becas para Especialistas Jóvenes que desean asistir al Congreso Panamericano en La Habana , CUBA -2015
La misión de la Asociación Panamericana de Otorrinolaringología, Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello es la de fomentar el intercambio de alta calidad entre los países miembros y así contribuir a la divulgación científica y asistencial de nuestra especialidad en nuestro continente.
Establecido en el año 2008, la meta del Programa de Becas para Visitantes es la de facilitar la asistencia al Congreso Panamericano de ORLCCC a especialistas jóvenes de nuestra especialidad que a su vez fomentarán el desarrollo científico y asistencial en sus países de origen.
Metas del Programa
-
Entrenar a otorrinolaringólogos distinguidos en posiciones académicas o docentes en países panamericanos para que puedan regresar a su país a compartir con sus colegas y mejorar el cuidado del paciente.

La meta es donar diez becas por congreso de US $1000.oo cada una. Nota: La beca no cubrirá completamente los costos de la visita.
Asistencia a la Reunión
El propósito de la beca es ayudar a pagar costos de inscripción y alojamiento. El becado tendrá que cubrir cualquier gasto adicional por encima del valor de la beca. La beca le será entregada al becario durante el Acto Inaugural del Congreso Panamericano y debe de estar presente para recibirla; en ese acto, el becario recibirá un reconocimiento público, un cheque por la cantidad de US$1000.oo y un certificado. El médico que recibe la beca deberá cubrir cualquier gasto adicional que él o ella incurra durante su participación en el congreso.
Elegibilidad
El propósito de estas Becas es para que puedan asistir al Congreso Panamericano de Otorrinolaringología-Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello, en La Habana, Cuba en el 2016.

I am very pleased to welcome all of you to the 7th International Symposium on Menière's Disease and Inner Ear Disorders, which will take place in Rome, Italy, from October 17th to 20th, 2015.

One Featured Emerging Issue: Auditory Brainstem Implants
Currently four US Cochlear Implant Centers have FDA approved IDE protocols for the implantation of children with deficient or absent cochleae or cochlear nerve deficiency. Approximately 20 children have been implanted to date. Our program will feature speakers who will address this topic from across the continuum of care—surgery, audiology and therapy—for both children and adults. We will explore evaluation and outcomes and share specific case studies in sessions organized by clinicians and scientists working with ABI patients in the US and around the world.
